The full story

The Funded Trader, launched in May 2021 from Texas, grew into one of the biggest prop firms of the boom era, claiming over $90 million in trader payouts. In early 2024 the industry-wide loss of MetaTrader access forced a chaotic migration to a new platform; traders reported server errors, breached accounts and payout denials, and in late March 2024 the firm paused operations entirely with a large payout backlog.

It never fully disappeared. By its own August 2024 update, roughly 30% of owed trader payouts had been distributed, and in November 2024 the firm relaunched challenge sales, continuing to operate through 2025 and 2026. No regulator ever took action against The Funded Trader, and no court has ruled on trader allegations. It is operating today, but Propfirmbook does not currently track its challenge data, rules or payout terms, and the 2024-era obligations were never independently verified as fully settled — which is why it remains outside our verified directory.

Why isn't The Funded Trader in our directory?

Propfirmbook's directory only includes firms we actively verify and track: live challenge pricing across every account size, payout terms and profit splits, complete trading rules, restricted-country lists, and current offers — checked continuously against each firm's own site. Firms outside the directory haven't been through that process, so we can't vouch for their current terms or operations.
