The full story

Funded Engineer was a Dubai-based prop firm that rose quickly during 2022–2023 before becoming one of 2024's most serious collapses. In February 2024 its technology provider, FPFX Technologies, terminated its license and publicly accused the firm of fake trading accounts, wash trading, and falsely reporting more than $2 million in payouts that were never disbursed — allegations Funded Engineer never publicly rebutted, and which were never tested in a public judgment. The provider subsequently pursued legal action, and the firm also lost broker access during the industry's platform squeeze.

On July 15, 2024, Funded Engineer announced permanent closure effective immediately and said it would file for bankruptcy. The closure statement made no provision for pending payouts or refunds; industry coverage noted outstanding claims would likely fall into bankruptcy proceedings that could take years. No resolution for traders has been publicly reported since.

A note on 'fund recovery' services: companies that contact traders of collapsed prop firms claiming they can recover lost funds are a well-documented follow-up scam. No legitimate recovery process exists outside official channels or formal insolvency proceedings.
