At Propfirmbook we apply a detailed, data-driven evaluation method to score each prop trading firm, prioritising the aspects any trader would consider when choosing a prop firm. As such, certain items are given a higher weighting in the evaluation process, due to their impact on traders’ experience and financial success.
Our methodology should provide a fair and balanced view of each prop firm, helping traders choose firms that can help them achieve their trading goals and align with their preferences.
We consistently review and update our ranking, as we strive to provide relevant, up-to-date insights to support the decision making of our users.
Challenges (Evaluation weight: 25%)
- Variety of challenges that cater to different trading styles and risk tolerances
- Accessibility (i.e. cost) of challenges at various funding levels
- Reasonable and sustainable profit targets
- Flexible and transparent drawdown limits
- Additional rules and policies (e.g. inactivity rules, consistency requirements)
- Variety of financial markets (e.g. forex, indices, stocks, commodities, crypto)
- Leverage availability (per market)
- Profit splits
- Payment processing options
Costs (Evaluation weight: 20%)
- Costs for trading challenges (ratio to funded amount)
- Business model (e.g. one-off or recurring payments)
- Trading spreads and commission fees
- Transparency of cost structure
Profit Payouts (Evaluation weight: 20%)
- Payout terms and conditions
- Payout frequency
- Minimum withdrawal amount
- Payout processing options (e.g. bank wire, crypto)
Account Funding (Evaluation weight: 10%)
- Clarity of terms, conditions and requirements for funded trading
- Smoothness and speed of funding process
- Extent of capital allocation and account scaling
- Ability to hold multiple funded accounts
- Broker partnerships
Credibility & Reputation (Evaluation weight: 10%)
- Number of reviews and average rating on Trustpilot
- Visibility and availability of company information (e.g. physical address, email, phone)
- Visibility of leadership team
- Active social media presence
- Active communities (e.g. Discord, Telegram)
Customer Support & User Experience (Evaluation weight: 8%)
- Availability of educational content and resources (blog posts, tutorials, webinars)
- Customer support options (email, live chat, call support)
- Customer support availability (24/7 or office hours)
- Supported languages
- Quick and straightforward onboarding experience (i.e. buying a challenge, user sign up process, clear KYC requirements, comprehensive guidance regarding the onboarding process)

- Quality and variety of trading platforms
